Aura damage is diluted from Might, Fortitude, and off weapon IAS, so the damage bonus isn’t as great as it sounds. Compared to spears, polearms support more rune words, tend to have a shorter reach, and tend to be slower for Amazons, about the same speed for Barbarians, and faster for other classes. Concentration will always be override in group play due to popular Hdin. Polearm damage scales with the wielder's Strength, with each point of Strength equivalent to 1% enhanced damage. Polearms are compatible with Barbarian Polearm Mastery. Desert Mercenary hirelings can equip polearms in the expansion.
Polearms are two-handed Melee Weapons in Diablo II. 1.10 current Pride is the rune word Cham Sur Io Lo for polearms in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and also in spears in Diablo II: Resurrected.
